Planet Bluegrass is committed to minimizing the environmental impact of its events and festivals. They’ve banned single-use plastic water bottles from the Telluride Bluegrass Festival and use our stainless steel pints to help festivarians stay happy and hydrated. We’re proud to partner with them to reduce waste and show how reusable items can keep the festival environment clean and beautiful.
“Our partnership with Klean Kanteen has proven to be an important evolution of our festival sustainability programming. Reuse is the ultimate endgame and Klean Kanteen’s products are used by everyone, from our festival artists to our festivarians, to keep waste at a minimum."
"Klean Kanteen and Ragnar truly align when it comes to the elimination of single-use containers. Ragnar is proud to host entirely “cupless” events and Klean is the ideal partner for encouraging participants and spectators to use their own containers," says Shelayne Barrett, Partnership Activation Manager for Ragnar Trail Series.

We're excited to be joining forces with United By Blue. Klean Kanteen will donate 2500 insulated stainless steel pint cups to volunteers from across the country who participate in 2016 United By Blue clean-up efforts, with 35 scheduled nationally for the remainder of 2016.
"Klean Kanteen is excited to partner with fellow B-Corp United By Blue, to inspire grassroots action around issues we're both passionate about: single use waste and clean water. A longtime 1% for the Planet member, our philosophy has always been grounded in environmental stewardship. As a business community, strength in numbers is incredibly important. Together with United By Blue, we can help people to take an active role as stewards to our planet and give back to the places we live and play," says Michelle Kalberer, Co-Owner of Klean Kanteen.

String Summit is a recent addition to the growing list of events partnering with Klean Kanteen. They realized the value of our Cup Karma program and chose to partner with Klean to provide a truly unique festival experience that is also more environmentally friendly than single-use cups. We also helped by providing free water stations on the beautiful hillside setting of Horning's Hideout in rural Oregon.

Many said you could never hold a large, multi-day music festival without using plastic cups and without selling bottled water. Pickathon and Klean Kanteen have proven the naysayers wrong. The decision to go plastic-free was however, not a small one. Massive infrastructure changes were necessary to ensure that festival goers, musicians and staff still have easy access to water and drinking/food containers. Pickathon, with the help of Klean Kanteen, continues to create the model of a truly sustainable, plastic-free festival. We are proud to work alongside them.
